just found out that jimmy buffett has 27 albums and, i’m gonna listen to all of them
well i listened to all of them and i now know that this video is mostly accurate. i feel like i’m ready to retire in tampa with a comically huge pina colada in one hand
but also i love how his whole Sound (at least in the later albums) is just. take ANY random topic and make a fuckin banger out of it. like “hm. i don’t like math” or “last night i was tired and my feet hurt a lot” or “one time i saw this really weird dude in a convenience store but he seemed like he was having a good time”
and he just does not give a SHIT about subtlety with the tropical theme. none of the lyrics are subtle or nuanced. he just sings what he’s thinking. big colorful bird. it squawked and stole the tiny umbrella out of my drink but that’s fine bc i’m getting a nice tan or some shit like that. god i love him
