I don’t think people realize it enough but this is the most iconic trio of all time. Naruto, Shikamaru, and Gaara having a verbal sparring match in a hospital room. Like we’re talking the future Hokage, the future Kazekage, and the future hokages advisor all in one room duking it out for the first time. Not to mention Gaara and Shikamaru become brother in laws and Naruto becomes both of their best friends. You know during random Kage meetings Naruto will get sentimental and be like “wow this takes me back guys, remember the first time we were all together and you tried to kill Lee, talk about memories..” and Shikamaru is just like “naruto no one wants to talk about that.”
